Hello, My name is Michelle, and I’m here to tell you how my life has been sparked with inspirational moments, people, and things to move it forward every day. I realize that I live to find inspiration and help others find it too. The internet has opened up a new venue that has taken me around the world to do this. It used to be I would go to the library and randomly pick a book off the shelf, or from a book store.. and read it and see where the journey took me. Now I love doing things like going to Pinterest and looking at the suggested pictures finding one that inspires me or moves me and seeing who posted it, then going to their other pictures and finding one I like and going to that persons site , I usually give myself a three jump limit. And it always takes me on a journey of inspiration. For me it is the story behind the pictures. Let me show you. So I go to my Pinterest page and see the suggested pictures for me. It is hard to pick just one, but I have to so I can start a journey of inspiration. I found this eye mural posted by coldkrush.com.au and I’m totally atracted to good eyes in art. I love the colors on this eye.
I see he takes pictures of really cool stuff with a little extra, there is a bicycle in every picture. See the bicycle in the above shot? Now you have to admit that is unique. What a great idea, to put something similar in every picture you take no matter where it is. I think I will stop there with a shout out to David Roberts for being my inspirational spark today on my first The Inspirational Spark Blog. Check out his Flickr page.
So you see what a cool journey I went on in a short time, with lots of inspirational sparks. I started on Pinterest and ended up on Flickr. This is what I love, finding the stories that surround these inspirational sparks. How do you find inspiration?
I love your blog post, Michelle. I am just wondering, maybe this could add an extra platform to the way you view art and inspiration. Look at the negatives in the art…negatives being a positive in this sense. What is the art/artist telling you not to do? For example, in the above piece, don’t keep things inside. Don’t let your creativity hit a ‘wall’. The bicycle….keep moving, take your own path and enjoy the ride. The parking meters….Don’t stay in one place for long, you never know what you might miss down the road. Interesting thoughts. What do you think?
Nick, I love your interpretations of this picture. It’s true this is why I love art, because it inspires people in so many different ways. That would be a fun thing to add here, putting artwork up to hear how it sparks people into interpretations and inspirations.
